Resources - Internet

Here are some that I found especially useful or interesting. The list is not complete - I am adding more all the time, so please check here from time to time.

Web Sites.

  • Clear Sky Clocks. Wonderful web site providing local astronomical observing forecast. Great!

  • Cloudy Nights Telescopes Reviews. Must see! Great collection of articles, reviews etc.

  • Astromart. Astronomy site for listing used equipment (with buyer/seller feedback and ratings) plus equipment reviews and articles. Very good website to visit and quite safe place to trade, buy or sell.

  • The Interactive NGC Catalog. Very useful when looking for more info, coordinates etc.

  • The Schmidt-Cassegrain Telesope Web Site. Great site - a lot of practical info.

  • Heavens Above.  Great source for satellites, current objects etc.

  • Love the Night Sky - lots of resources, especially for beginners. Explaining basics, comparing telescopes etc.

  • And more - coming as soon as I have time to copy them here and comment ... Below, in the category "Web Sites - uncommented" I am pasting interesting sites worth visiting, I will hopefully comment on them later.

These are the shops I have been dealing with most frequently, and by no means exhaustive list.

Internet Magazines.

Discussion Groups.

Yahoo is the best here - most of the discussion groups I found interesting are Yahoo groups. See below, they are great source of information and help.
