Black Forest Star Party 2024

The party was officially held September 6 - 8, but we arrived early on Tuesday September 3 because the weather forecast was great for Tuesday through Thursday with Thursday night being least good. It was great to meet old friends and share the astronomy together and breathe in the star party atmosphere after such a long break – my previous BFSP was in 2019. The first three nights were excellent, with good transparency and seeing, and actually Thursday night was the best. The actual star party nights were both cloudy, with Friday night raining. We packed the scopes on Friday and kept binoculars ready for the two remaining nights, but not much luck. Three great nights was great good luck though!
